BNI Foundation Opens Matching Fund for Earthquake Relief to Italy
Ivan and I have announced on the BNI Foundation site and the BNI site that we are going to match the first $5000 that is donated for the Italy Earthquake Relief Fund we have just opened in the BNI Foundation.
I have posted an updated section on the BNI Foundation home page at www.bnifoundation.org which announces this fund and makes it easy for people to donate with one click (well, it's technically two, once you get to the credit card donation page...).
Please let your chapters and members know about our relief fund. Over 30,000 people are homeless and nearly 300 have had their lives cut short. We have an opportunity to reach out to help these people in Italy with our Givers Gain attitude and our dollars. Our BNI Director in Italy, Paolo, has not given me an update yet, but as soon as I hear from him, I will post an update here as to whether any BNI members have been effected by this disaster.
As usual, 100% of all donations will be contributed directly out to agencies which are providing relief to the survivors and families of the victims.
