Grade: 1st-5th Number of students in class: Sixteen students with varying degrees of disabilities, 2 teachers and 2 aides work within our classroom. Numerous regular education students join our class in small groups to work on common goals.
Name of project: Smart Board
Description of project: The Smart Board interactive system connects to a computer and a projector. A student is able to interact with computer materials and their fingers become the mouse. Anything done on a computer is now available to any child.
Potential benefits of project: Our students with physical limitations will now be able to receive multisensory stimulation, touch a whiteboard, and respond physically no matter what their limitations are.

Okay, I hope that I am replying in the right place. The forum tab is the one I'm at. Is that right?
This looks like a worthwhile project, but some details are missing. What is the amount they are asking for? What is the cost of the Smartboard they want? How will they measure the success of its use?

Those items are in the private group posting that the board uses to vote on and not in the public view. The way to get there once you log in is: Click on groups>then the icon for Executive Board of Advisors> once there you will see:
"This is where we vote on the pending mini grants and discuss topics of interest. Join the fun!"
And the discussions directly below for your vote and/or comments.
