I've recently realized that it can be difficult to really share our passion for supporting the next generation of business owners through strong educational programs. Thankfully, Beth Misner worked with me towards creating "talking points" so that we can easily spread the word!
May I suggest that you either print off this post or email me for a nicely formatted word document for your or your chapter's use.

Talking Points
Talking points are brief informative “snacks”. They are just enough to wet your whistle while passing on information to your chapters and others. Use one; use them all!
• What is the BNI-Misner Charitable Foundation?
o The BNI Foundation is a non-profit program that supports children and education anywhere in the world.
o The primary focus of the foundation is to provide mini grants (Givers Gain Grants) for educational projects.
• Why was it created?
o Because of the growth of BNI, the organization felt it would be a good opportunity to give back to some of the communities in BNI and our Members participate.
• What is its theme?
o The BNI Int’l Board of Advisors (made up of members throughout the world) has selected mini-grants relating to education and children to be its theme.
o The BNI Foundation will make contributions to legitimate charitable organizations that come to us by referral only.
o Our Givers Gain Grants aren’t just for private educational programs -- public schools may also qualify for grant allocations.
• How do I participate?
o Anyone may participate in the foundation by sending their tax deductible contribution to made out to the BNI-MISNER Foundation, 545 College Commerce Way, Upland CA 91786, or Donate online at BNIFoundation.org
o Join the BNI Foundation Fans and support us with your encouragement and enthusiasm.
o The BNI-Minser Foundation has a number of recognition levels. We start with the Patron level, anyone who donates $1000 in the course of a year, to sponsor one mini grant. We then go to the Benefactor level for anyone who donates $2000 in the course of a year, to sponsor two mini grants!
o Become a BNI Monthly Heroes, pledge to donate a minimum of $50 per month to our fund to support children's educational programs.
o Or a fabulous BNI Monthly Super Heroes by contributing $100 per month.
o Chapters may participate in the Monthly Heroes program, as well.
o BNI chapters also have their own recognition levels. We recognize BNI Chapters who donate $1000 in a year's time to sponsor one mini grant. These are our Mini-Grant Sponsor Chapters. We also recognize BNI Chapters who donate $2000 in a year's time to sponsor two mini grants. These are our Master Grant Sponsor Chapters.
• Donor Advised Contributions
o Contributions go towards children's educational programs. However, BNI regions, chapters or members that make a $250 or more donation may make a "donor advised" request which can go to a legitimate charity of their choice within CCF guidelines.
