Description of Project:
St. John’s Lutheran school will utilize the mini-grant award to purchase video cameras specifically for student use. We can also foresee the use of the video cameras by the staff. Because of our size, every student will have an opportunity to experience curriculum enrichment as a result of purchasing these video cameras. Examples of education applications include creating a school news broadcast, public speaking, presentations, documentation of physical education experiences, and even a daily record of educational experiences.

Potential Benefits of Project:
The greatest benefit for students at St. John’s Lutheran School will be access to new technology applications in school environment. As a small non-profit school we are limited in our resources for supplies and equipment.

How will the funds be used?
7 video cameras at the cost of $150 each $1050.00

*(Beth and Ivan will direct $50 from their personal contributions to the fund, if it is approved)

For the K-8 it's a little vague on how it might help the core curriculum learning for students, but I believe technology is important in classrooms and vote yes!

I don't really see the educational benefit here. There's not enough explanation of how this could help the students and which ones. I'd also rather see books than cameras - that's what students today need more I think. I vote no unless I hear more info.
